Los Angeles Conservancy 2001 Historic Preservation Award
Pica + Sillivan Architects was awarded the Los Angeles Conservancy 2001 Historic Preservation Award for its work on the restoration of the Allen House for the First AME Church. The mansion is an original 1902 Train and Williams structure, and the church congregation uses the house for receptions and community functions.
The restoration was completed in 2001, and the Allen House was opened to the public that same year.
